This 6 Days South Western Uganda itinerary will take you through the south western part of Uganda. Quite brief but worth a try if you don’t have much time. It will take you through some of Uganda’s key highlights like the mountain gorillas and a game drive in Lake Mburo National Park will bring you up close to animals like giraffes, zebras, buffalos and a lot more. Queen Elizabeth National Park is worth another park of interest.

 

DAY 1: ENTEBBE – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

Meet your local guide and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Stop over at equator for memorable photography. You get a chance of being both at Southern and Northern hemispheres. Afternoon boat trip on Lake Mburo. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: LAKE MBURO N.P – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Early morning game drive in this vast park for chances of sights of Zebras, Topi, Giraffes, Elephant, Eland, Impala, Buffalo, Waterbuck and many more.  For birders, there are several bird species along the trails.  After lunch transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, possible visit Igongo cultural center depending on the time. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Early morning game drive, Key species here include the lions, Elephants, Uganda kobs, Bushbucks, waterbucks, Buffalos, warthogs and many more. Afternoon Boat cruise on Kazinga channel. There is a rich life of animal and bird species here. If time allows, evening visit Katwe salt works. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: QUEEN ELIZABETH– BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park, Ruhija side. We shall go through Ishasha sector for chance of seeing tree climbing lions and more game. Lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, briefing and registration at the briefing point. After begin the trek of a lifetime. Meet the forest giants, an experience that will leave you amazed at how the gorillas behave and live. Enjoy moments of the silverback protecting and occasionally disciplining of the baby gorillas. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 6:  BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK- ENTEBBE

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Kampala. Lunch enroute, another stop over at the Equator. Proceed to Entebbe or Kampala. Depending on your schedule, flight back home or dinner and overnight.
