Detailed 6 days Uganda Primates tracking Safari itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe International Airport
Starting your trip from Entebbe International Airport, your experienced safari guide will pick you up and transfer to your hotel, refresh, rest as you look forward to the next day where the actual journey of your adventure begins.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After your breakfast, your guide will pick you and drive to Kibale Forest National Park which harbors 13 different species of primates including over 1450 individuals of Chimpanzees. The journey takes about 348km, roughly 5 hours’ drive from the main City Kampala.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking/Habituation
Wake up early and after your breakfast, gather at Kanyanchu Visitor Center with your experienced Safari guide at 8:00am for a briefing on the rules and guidelines to follow on your Chimpanzee Habituation activity. You will trek with them in the morning after they have woken up and watch them do their daily activities. Along the way, you will be able to see other primates and wildlife like the red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, a variety of bird species among others. In the Evening, as they start making their nests for the next night to sleep, you will trek back to your lodge for a good night sleep.
Day 4: Transfer from Kibale to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an exhilarating Chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Park, embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a misty haven nestled in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. The Landscape unfolds with all round green of towering trees, meandering rivers and more unpopular scenery. Upon arrival, settle into your cozy lodge surrounded by the gentle rustle of leaves, rest and rejuvenate in preparation for the next day’s adventure of unforgettable Gorilla tracking experience.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable National Park
Early morning after your breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is home to about half of the world’s population of the endangered mountain gorillas. Nothing will thrill you like a sight of these primates that are three times bigger than a human being and yet very peaceful and friendly to the visitors. You will come face-to-face with the majestic mountain Gorillas in their natural habitats as you monitor their daily activities. You will then transfer back to your lodge for the rest of the day and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer Back to Entebbe International Airport
After you have turned your dream adventure into reality with a tour to these rewarding National Parks in Uganda, your Safari driver will pick you up in the morning and drive you back to Entebbe. Depending on what time your flight will be, you will stop by a hotel for lunch/dinner as u wait for drop off and check-in to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back.
