Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Pick up at Entebbe International Airport.

When you land at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, your friendly guide will be there to welcome you and drive you to your hotel as you await your adventure journey.

Day 2: Tour Kampala, main Capital City of Uganda.

In the morning after breakfast, your Safari guide will pick you up to explore the city of Kampala which offers a wide range of sightseeing experiences. You will visit places like the King’s Palace (the first Uganda Parliament known as Lukiiko), Kasubi tombs, Bahai Temple, Hindu Temple, Nakasero Market, Namirembe Church, Rubaga Cathedral and many more depending on how much time we shall have for the day’s activities. After the city tour, you will drive to Jinja and check in your lodge for dinner and overnight as u wait to witness more exciting sites in the town of Jinja.

Day 3: Visit to the Source of the Nile and Bujagali Falls.

Start your day with a visit to the source of the Nile and Bujali falls which is a few kilometers away from the source and be rewarded with many activities that take place there like water rafting, bungee jumping, Kayaking, boat rides as well as fishing. River Nile is the longest river in the world and pours to over nine countries. It is more centered in Uganda with its source in Jinja, Uganda. You shall then drive to Sipi Falls and arrive in the evening for an overnight as you look forward to yet another tour experience in Kapchorwa.

Day 4: Hike to Sipi Falls and the Coffee Walks, evening game drive at Kidepo Valley National Park.

In the morning, your friendly guide will pick you up and hike to Sipi falls that brings you different difficulty levels which are a must try. You will walk through different coffee plantations to acquaint yourself with the knowledge of how coffee is grown, processed and until it reaches the final consumer. In the evening, you shall transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park for yet another uplifting game drive, scenic viewing at the Park.

Day 5: Whole day game drive at Kidepo Valley National Park.

Rise early enough for a tour at Kidepo Valley National Park which is situated in Kaabong, Moroto the Northeast about 510kms from the main Capital of Uganda, Kampala. It was gazetted into a National Park in the year 1962 and currently harbors over 75 species of mammals and 470 species of birds. You will be able to view wildlife animals like the Cheetahs, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Elands, Waterbucks, elephants, Uganda Kobs, Oribi, Leopards, Zebras, buffalos, Lions and many others. After the game drive, you will drive back to your lodge, you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Visit the Karamajong Tribe and Transfer to Gulu for overnight.

In the morning of day 6, you will have your luggage packed and you drive to the outskirts of the park to visit the Karamonj people and venture into their unique cultural heritage. You will have a chance to interact with them and get to know of different aspects within their culture like marrying more than one wife because one owns many heads of cattle, a visit to their homesteads commonly known as Manyattas (houses built using rids, grasses, mad and clay soil), get entertained by their traditional dances, songs, stories and many more. You shall then transfer to Gulu town where you will have your night’s sleep as you look forward to another journey to one of the most visited National Parks in Uganda.

Day7: Transfer to Murchison Falls and a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Have your breakfast early in the morning, head to Murchison Falls National Park and, on your way, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino trekking. Proceed to have lunch and continue your journey with a fascinating game drive as you enjoy a portion of animals like Ugandan Kobs, Elephants, Baboons and Monkey.

As you head to your lodge at the park, you will stop at the top view of the waterfalls and watch the strength they come with and that sound that is soothing for it gives you a warm welcome to the unique nature found within Uganda. You will then check in at your lodge for a good overnight.

Day 8: Game drive and Boat trip for a bottom view of Murchison waterfalls.

This adventurous morning starts with an early morning game drive which will take about four to five hours. You will see wildlife animals not limited to elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hyenas, Warthogs, Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs and so many different species of birds. After the game drive, take a break back at your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, have a boat cruise along the mighty River Nile which leads you to great seeing many different animals that will be drinking water, some swimming at the banks of the river, many different species of birds like the great King Fisher bird, fish Eagles, Cormorants and others. You will also be able to have a bottom view of the falls as you watch the water splashes and listen to their roars. From the boat cruise, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Budongo Forest.

You will drive to Budongo Forest which is part of Murchison Falls conservation area and has the largest number of chimpanzees in Uganda. You will see different bird, tree and animal species. It has over 360 species of birds, 450 species of trees including Mahogany and 24 species of mammals.

Have your lunch packed and binoculars ready for an early morning chimpanzee trekking with your experienced safari guide. After here, get set for a more amazing chimpanzee trek in Kibale Forest National Park whereby you will arrive in the evening, have dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 10: Chimpanzee habituation in Kibale National Park

Gather at Kanyanchu Visitor Center in the morning after breakfast for briefing on the guidelines for chimpanzee habituation. You will start your day with the Chimpanzees which share about 90% of their DNA with human beings. You will see them wake up, trek with them and watch them do all their activities of the day. You shall leave when they start making their nests for the next night to sleep. Back at your lodge, you will have dinner as you look forward to the next day.

Day 11: Bigodi wetland sanctuary.

This day, in the morning, you will take a guided tour to the swamp which is a habitat of so many different species of birds (over 200) including the Great Blue Turaco, mammals, insects and different reptiles. You will be visiting the traditional healers and interacting with the local people in the surrounding areas. Thereafter, you will go back to the lodge, have lunch and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a scenic view of a game drive as you enter into the National Park which will lead you to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

An early morning game drive at the park follows and you will see different types of animals like Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Waterbucks, Buffaloes and so many different Bird species.
You will head to your hotel for lunch and thereafter go for a boat cruise along Kazinga channel which boasts of the largest concentration of Hippos and crocodiles worldwide.

Day 13: Tour Ishasha sector.

Special to look forward to at Ishasha wilderness camp of Queen Elizabeth National Park are the tree-climbing Lions. Don’t miss out on this great adventurous experience that takes you to Lion’s resting on branches of large fig trees, elephants bathing in the water and many more. Later on, you shall break off for lunch and go for an evening game drive in the park and then head back to your lodge for dinner and restful sleep.

Day 14: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park.

Rise and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is famously known as a habitat for world’s half of the Mountain Gorillas. On arrival, you shall check into your lodge, refresh, have lunch and rest to prepare for the next day of Gorilla Trekking activity.

Day 15: Gorilla Trekking at bwindi.

In the morning, get ready for a thrilling Gorilla experience. Your safari guide picks you up for Gorilla Trekking briefing where you meet the Rangers and head for the Gorilla Trekking activity which takes 2 to 9 hours depending on how far the Gorillas are on that particular day.

Day 16: View of Volcanic Mountains.

Set for your journey early morning to Kisoro, southwest of Uganda to view the Volcanic Mountains. You shall arrive in time for lunch, relax at the lodge and later in the day, you will have a walk to visit the local market, have dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 17: Trekking at Mgahinga National Park.

After an early morning breakfast, have a walk into the Mgahinga Forest for Golden Monkey Trekking and Mountain Gorillas. After this activity, you head back to your hotel and have a relaxed afternoon, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 18: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Check out of your hotel after your breakfast and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest lake in Uganda. Arrive in time for lunch and have a relaxed afternoon, look forward to dinner and overnight at your comfortable Lodge.

Day 19: Canoeing at Lake Bunyonyi.

In the morning, choose either a guided natural walk with a safari guide or self-guided natural walk around the lake watching different birds, other eye-catching species and activities taking place around the lake. In the afternoon you will go for Canoeing using the handmade local canoes, head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 20: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

This will be the final game drive of your Safari to Lake Mburo, which is the smallest of Uganda’s National Parks and near to the main City of Kampala. You will see the Zebras, Buffaloes, Giraffes and other different types of animals as you enter the park. You shall have lunch at your lodge and after you go for an afternoon Boat Cruise at the Lake where u will sail on its calm waters as you watch different Islands and the amazing stories behind them.

Day 21: Flight back home and a stop at the Uganda Equator.

Wake up early morning to head back home and on your way, have a stop at the Uganda Equator where you will see the water experiment of Northern and Southern Hemisphere and take pictures at the equator monument. There are so many Ugandan craft shops where you can do shopping for all the crafts that you need as souvenirs to go back home with.
